Sheepwash

JASON TURPIN-THOMSON
Sheepwash
Jason created the Senitel and the Sheepwash or The Shepherd. The wood sculpture of a shepherd and his sheep, carved in 1999, represents the history of this lovely spot in Ferry Meadows Country Park. The sculpture features an old man reminiscing about his working life tending to livestock. This piece is located next to an ancient sheep washing pond in which local farm workers would hand wash their animals to free them from pests. The two sheepdogs are loyal hardworking companions to the shepherd Andrew also informal seats for visitors to Nene Park. It’s hand carved from oak1.
Please contact me if you have any information or images on the Sheepwash you would like to share. Thank you.
