Tolleck Winner
Tolleck Winner is a sculptor based in the United Kingdom. He was born in the former Soviet Union on July 30, 1959, and has lived and worked in the United Kingdom since 1980. He is an Associate member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and works in a variety of media.
Tolleck now works from his studio in Essex. Winner left the property firm he had been running after a car accident in 1997 and three-and-a-half years of subsequent physiotherapy and rehabilitation to pursue his dream of becoming a sculptor1. His work is inspired by his fascination with raw materials and is created using a variety of media such as metals, minerals, rocks, acrylic, and recycled materials.
Winner has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in the UK and abroad, including two at Alon Zakaim Fine Art in London in 2006 and 2007. He is also a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors as an Associate member2.
A number of his larger-scale works can be found in public displays across the UK, such as the large steel sculpture ‘People’, which can be found in Thorpe Meadow Sculpture Park, Peterborough.
